Speaker Series

I am pleased to announce the first event in my speaker series, “What You Need to Know About PART (Plan of Action for Regional Transit),” presented by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP), will be on April 15 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at my district office, 1 S. Cass Avenue in Westmont.
Reliable public transportation is critical to our region, serving as both a vehicle for economic growth and a solution to alleviate vehicular congestion. The April 15 presentation will provide attendees with an in-depth overview of the PART initiative, which aims to improve regional transit options and efficiency. Representatives from CMAP will lead the discussion and answer questions about the current state of regional transit, plan objectives, financial considerations and economic implications.
The PART program is the first in a series of speaker events designed to engage constituents in important state and district issues. Through this speaker series, I hope to foster an open dialogue with residents, address their concerns, and gather valuable input on key matters that impact the region.
The event is free and open to the public.
