August was another full month of community connection, collaboration, and celebration across the district.

We began the month meeting with the DuPage Mayors and Managers to exchange ideas, discuss shared concerns, and provide legislative updates. We also had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with Downers Grove Village Manager David Fieldman to learn more about the Village’s priorities and to share district updates.

Healthcare services were in focus this month with a community partnership luncheon at Elmhurst Hospital (Endeavor) and a tour of Alta Care in Oak Brook, where we learned more about the ways our local institutions are delivering high-quality care.

We continued our commitment to accessibility and engagement by holding satellite office hours at the Elmhurst Public Library, listening to residents’ questions and concerns in a welcoming and convenient space. We also connected with local businesses and leaders at the Clarendon Hills Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours.

Celebrations were in full swing this month as we attended the grand opening of 93 Octane in Elmhurst and the 10th anniversary party for the People’s Resource Center of Westmont. These these milestones reflects the growth, vibrancy, and generosity of our communities.

We also staffed our constituent service table at Westmont Cruisin’ Nights, where we admired classic cars, met with neighbors, and enjoyed the lively summer atmosphere.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in August—whether at a community celebration, a meeting, or during office hours. We’re grateful for the partnerships and conversations that strengthen our district each day.
